Auction items include the Braimhall family 18th c. Philadelphia wine set with George Washington history, a fine
group of 17th century furniture, an important Martin Lewis etching “Stoops in Snow” McCarron #89, a George
Rickey Kinetic sculpture, a 1706 silver coffee pot on stand, and a good group of antique Oriental rugs.

Saratoga Springs, NY- Mark Lawson, of Mark Lawson Antiques, Inc., 492 Maple Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY, is
pleased to announce an exceptional auction featuring contents of the New York City apartment and Maine oceanside
manor of Mr. & Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords, longtime horse racing family and patrons of the arts. The auction will feature
many fine antiques, period furniture, original artwork, a sizeable group of silver pieces, as well as many decorative
objects, glass, jewelry and antique Oriental rugs.

The auction will be held at the Canfield Casino, which is located in Congress Park in the city of Saratoga Springs, and
will take place on Thursday, October 14th at 6pm. A preview of the items offered will be held Wednesday, October 13th
from 5 until 8pm and Thursday, October 14th from 10am until sale time at 6pm.

On Wednesday October 13th, from 5-8pm, a special Champagne preview will be held at the Canfield Casino in Congress Park with proceeds benefiting the Historic Preservation of the Union Free School No. 7 building, currently home of grades 1-8 of the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs. It is the oldest standing public school building in Saratoga Springs.

Highlights of the auction include a fine 17th century 10’ walnut slab and oak long table, a dated 1659 walnut chest, a set of 8 Regency rosewood chairs, a Martin Lewis etching “Stoops in Snow” McCarron #89, and several works and
sketchbooks by Arthur “Pops” Momand, creator of the 1920s cartoon strip “Keeping Up With The Joneses.” Other items include: an 1890s Tiffany rose gold and diamond ring, Tiffany and Loetz art glass, a turn of the century 7’ model sailboat, an 18th century engraved powder horn, an early 18” burl bowl, a George Rickey Kinetic sculpture, 20+ antique Oriental rugs and many lots of fine decorative glassware, china and silver from the New York City apartment of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffords.
