Holiday Trove: Day 1 – Fine Jewelry & Watches

The first day of our annual Holiday auction, a treasure trove of estate discoveries featuring Fine jewelry, accessories & furs, and fine pocket and wrist watches.
This year’s holiday auction will be held in two sessions over two days on November 20th and 21st, 2021. All lots, as always, are fresh to the market offerings from local estates in the Capital District region of Upstate NY.
The first session on November 20th will feature fine jewelry, Native American accessories, and watches.
The jewelry has antique, contemporary, and vintage featuring a good group of larger GIA diamonds, featuring a 4.25 carat cushion cut solitaire ring, and 4 other diamond solitaire rings ranging from 2.76 to 3.36 carats. Colored gems include a 27ct oval green beryl in a diamond studded filigree brooch, an exceptional Colombian emerald earrings and necklace, fine sapphire and ruby set jewelry, and nice color 12.8 carat natural blue zircon ring in rose gold.
Accessories from the family of Charles R. Wood include Judith Leiber, Gucci, Louis Vuitton a good group of fur coats. Day 2 includes more interesting material from the Wood family.
We have a group of Native American sterling silver turquoise jewelry, early concha belts, rugs including Navajo Nellie Benally, and pottery with a large Acoma Olla by I. Chino.
A nice assortment of antique pocket watches include several 18k ladies pendant watches (incl Tiffany), a beautiful 18k gold and enamel Cupid decorated 1871 watch, a large 14k Howard, a Hamilton Railway Special, an 1889 14k presentation Barnum & Bailey Circus watch and a Patek Philippe extra grade pocket watch with the original first class certificate from the Swiss Geneva Observatory.
The uncommon & desirable wristwatches include Tag Heuer, a Longines Lindberg, Ulysse Nardin, a Movado triple date chronograph, Tiffany double dial, an early Omega Speedmaster ST 105 Moon model and Rolex watches including two Men’s vintage Submariner diving watches. Ladies wristwatches include a Patek Philippe 18k Nautilus, an 18k and stainless datejust and a Piaget 18k & diamond.
